Nepal is not a glitzy place with all night parties and neon lights. There are bars and restaurants in Kathmandu and some have televised sports. Some of the upmarket hotels have licensed casinos which operate all night. There are a few displays of Nepali song and dance, mainly around the restaurants. Jazz is popular and can be heard in some of the bars in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Nepal has cinemas which show a lot of Bollywood and western movies. Sometimes films are shown in the restaurants and visitors are welcome to watch if they buy a meal. Sporting events are sometimes held in the evenings and attract spectators.
If you are in the mountains camping you may find gazing at the stars or making your own entertainment is the order of the day. Spontaneity can bring songs round a camp fire, displays of villagers dancing, and different cultures teaching each other new games.
Nepal is a magical place and just the kind of country to discover entertainment when you least expect it.
