Nepal has many things to see and do. The chaos of Kathmandu with the shops of Thamel, the exotic backdrop of Durbar Square and the charm of the temples attracts many people to the city each year. Look for tigers in Royal Chitwan National Park and spot rare birds amongst some of the most endangered species in the world. Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is an excellent place to spot birds.
In the Himalayas the spirit of Nepal is at its strongest. See the majestic Everest, Nuptse, Amadablam or the Annapurna circuit and Machhapuchhare or the fishtail mountain. Trekking is one of the main reasons for visiting Nepal; then again a stay in Pokhara is a popular way to spend a day or two. Visit the potters at work in Bhaktapur or view the exquisite wood carving in Patan. See the temples in Kathmandu or abseil down a waterfall on the border with Tibet. Why not go white water rafting down the Karnali River.
By far the best attraction in Nepal is the warm welcome from the Nepalese people.
